THE COMPANY
SYNAPTICON
CONNECTING WORLDS -
HOME OF INTEGRATED MOTION
There is tremendous potential in the connection between the worlds of software, electronics and mechanics. This potential is what drives us at Synapticon. We are characterized by comprehensive expertise, a great deal of creativity and an extraordinary level of technological courage. This is how we have managed to offer a world-leading portfolio of technologies and products in the field of industrial motion control.
Synapticon is the only company that develops servo drives according to the software-first principle . Our extremely compact and user-friendly servo drives are the gateways between the virtual and the real world: they are what turn a computer into a robot.

OUR HISTORY
"It's time to fundamentally change the point of motion and redefine it for the digital age. For more growth and to bring the future of robotics closer every day."
Founding myths usually begin in a garage. In Synapticon's case, it was an attic in the Swabian Alps. Here, mechanical engineer Nikolai Ensslen , computer scientist Andrija Feher and electrical engineer Martin Schwarz discovered tremendous potential: the combination of electronics, mechanics and software.
Synapticon was founded in 2012 and in the first few years focused on compact embedded computers to accelerate AI software, the first cloud-based embedded development environment and an innovative electronic module kit for robot developers. At that time, Synapticon financed itself with engineering services.
With the move to Filderstadt near Stuttgart and the establishment of a branch in Silicon Valley in 2016, the strategic realignment began: away from services and towards products. From then on, the focus was on the area with the greatest need and innovation potential: industry and motion control.
Since then, Synapticon has been passionately developing advanced technologies for the "point of motion" , taking the development and production of its customers' products to the next level. The first product premiere was the SOMANET Node series in 2018, followed by the SOMANET Circulo product range in 2019.
The company has its headquarters in Schönaich, Baden-Württemberg, with additional offices in Silicon Valley, Shanghai and Belgrade.

Our team
OUR DNA
We are technology enthusiasts coming together from all over the world, at home in the most diverse forms of engineering and management. With a lot of creativity and extraordinary technological courage, we want nothing less than to outwit physics. We fuel innovation and progress in robotics and automation. Anything is possible.
It was "The Traitorous Eight" who inspired us to found Synapticon. Eight engineers left their former employer in 1957 to set in motion the unparalleled technological development of recent decades. Without them, there would be no integrated circuits, no microprocessors, no Apple - and no Synapticon.
INFLUENCER?
THE TRAITOROUS EIGHT!

Somanet was inspired by the somatosensory nervous system, which is responsible for stimulus perception and muscle control. Motion Control maps the complexity of our motor cortex, the movement control system of our brain. Finally, Synapticon (Greek synapse = connecting and Latin con = together) stands for the connection between the analog and the virtual world, the dynamic whole, the Integrated Motion.
Sustainability requires mindfulness. For employees who invest their passion in Synapticon. For customers who invest their trust in our products. And for investors who invest their money in our innovative strength. In the best sense of economic sustainability, we are committed to generating sustainable value for everyone involved.
